Nairobi – Amboseli (1 Hour Flight)

• 7:30 am: Your Natural World Kenya Safaris driver will pick you up from your hotel, residence, or location of your choice and transfer you to Wilson Airport.
• 8:30 am: Depart on a scenic one-hour flight over central Kenya to Amboseli National Park. Enjoy stunning views of the morning sun lighting up the savannah below.
• Land at the convenient airstrip near Amboseli, where your guide will greet you and escort you in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep to your accommodation.
• Settle into your lodge or tented camp and prepare for your first game drive.
• Mt. Kilimanjaro towers over the landscape, providing a breathtaking backdrop throughout your drives.
• Expect to see impressive herds of elephants, along with other wildlife such as lions, buffalo, and hippos.
• As evening approaches, watch for the clouds to part and reveal the majestic snowy peak of Kilimanjaro — an unforgettable African icon.
• Return to your accommodation to relax and enjoy dinner.

Full Day at Amboseli

• Rise early to watch the sunrise illuminate Amboseli National Park and the majestic silhouette of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
• Enjoy breakfast at your lodge or camp.
• Head out for your first game drive of the day—schedule flexible based on your preference. Discuss with your guide how much time you want to spend exploring or relaxing.
• Expect to see large herds of elephants at their favorite watering holes.
• Also watch for other wildlife such as zebra, giraffe, warthog, and ostrich. Amboseli is known for its rich birdlife.
• Drive up to Observation Hill for panoramic views of the entire park, including marshlands that are home to hippos and waterfowl like pelicans and Egyptian geese.

Toward evening we’ll head back to our accommodation for our second safari night.

Amboseli – Maasai Mara (1 Hour Flight)

• Early morning game drive in Amboseli to enjoy the park’s peaceful awakening under soft light.
• Return for lunch at your accommodation.
• Transfer to the airstrip for your 14:00 (2:00 pm) flight to the Masai Mara.
• Say goodbye to your Amboseli guide and meet your new guide upon arrival in the Mara at 15:00 (3:00 pm).
• Transfer by private 4x4 safari Jeep to your Masai Mara lodge or tented camp for check-in and freshening up.
• Optional quick afternoon game drive before dinner.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the Maasai Mara.

Full Day at the Masai Mara

You’ll spend the day exploring the Masai Mara, with two full days of game drives ahead. Just like at Amboseli, you’ll have the freedom to decide how to spend your time—whether you want to be out in the field all day chasing wildlife or prefer to balance game drives with some relaxing downtime at your lodge or tented camp. Your guide will help tailor the day to your preferences.

As the adventure unfolds, you’ll be tracking lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and other predators. The park’s abundant grazers support this rich predator population, so keep your eyes peeled for antelope, zebra, gazelle, giraffe, and smaller species like the charming dik-dik. You might also spot some of the other big game roaming the area — rhino, elephant, and buffalo.

As the afternoon wanes, prepare your camera for one of the Masai Mara’s breathtaking sunsets along the western horizon. After a day full of discovery and excitement, return to your accommodation to enjoy dinner and share stories about the day’s unforgettable encounters.

Full Day at the Maasai Mara

This is your second full day in the Masai Mara, and by now you may have a sense of which areas you’d like to explore further. One must-visit spot is the Mara River, especially during the Great Migration season from July to October. Here, thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles make their dramatic crossing, with crocodiles lurking in wait — a breathtaking display of nature’s raw survival instincts.

For a truly unforgettable perspective, consider an optional pre-dawn hot air balloon safari. As the sun rises, you’ll soar over the Mara’s rolling plains, watching the wildlife awaken beneath you in a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

To deepen your connection with the land and its people, you can also choose to visit a local Maasai village. Meet the Maasai, learn about their rich culture, and witness their traditional ceremonies.

As the day winds down, return to your lodge or tented camp to relax and reflect on your final evening in the Mara.

Masai Mara – Nairobi (1 Hour Flight)

Start your final safari morning with one last early game drive, revisiting your favorite spots in the park as the wildlife stirs to life. After soaking in the morning magic, return to your accommodation for a hearty breakfast.

Next, we’ll head to the nearby airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. This short transfer is a bonus chance to soak up the Mara’s beauty one last time as you take to the skies.

Your flight departs at 11:15 am, giving you a final aerial view of the sweeping Masai Mara landscape. Upon landing at Wilson Airport, a Natural World Kenya Safaris representative will be ready to meet you and transfer you to your hotel, residence, or the international airport for your onward journey.
